Continuously variable drive technology
Objective
Transferring power loss-free, directly and variably has always been considered the highest goal in the development of gearboxes.
The greatest possible ease of use and highest efficiency with longevity and low maintenance, as well as minimal mechanical wear to bring into line.
After the development of efficiency loosing multistage gearboxes, the development finally led to so – called CVT gearboxes which made it possible to continuously adjust the speed without the interruption of traction.
Peter F. Dziuba
Development
All current drive concepts for heavy off-road vehicles (chain and wheel) are outdated.
Gearbox manufacturers do not offer innovative solutions.
For this reason, first the Fendt company and then the Claas company went their separate ways from the existing gearbox manufacturers. Both companies manufacture their innovative gearboxes themselves and no longer buy them from gearbox manufacturers.
The developers of the Fendt Vario gearbox (1st generation WSG gearbox) and Claas Cmatic gearbox (2nd generation WSG gearbox) have come together in DziubaGears GmbH and have now developed and patented the 3rd generation of WSG power split gearboxes.
This 3rd generation WSG power split transmission is far superior to all current (even the most modern) powershift transmissions. It is more efficient and powerful. It can be used in 3×3, 4×4 and tracked vehicles. High loads, e.g. >100 tons, can be efficiently driven forwards and backwards at e.g. 120 km/h and this with a constant, constant and low engine speed with a consistently high efficiency (90%).
Market Overview
In recent years, several different CVT systems have been introduced to the market.
Renowned tractor manufacturers such as AGCO and CLAAS successfully use the CVT systems developed under Peter F. Dziuba’s direction in series production.
Market participants are now more and more asking for a system with so-called fully reversing technology, if possible, without reactive power!
With another CVT development including a continuously variable reversing planetary gearbox, these requirements were met.
This innovation was again developed by Peter F. Dziuba and filed for patent.
This planetary reversing gearbox technology is designed as a kit and allows easy adjustments and can be installed in different vehicle configurations with different output options to the axes.
Independent PTO shafts are also available.
This transmission system is controlled by means of a CAN bus signal via control units, which are optimally matched to the structure of the transmission system.
Market Demand
The CLAAS system received a positive reference in the journal “profi test 3/2016”. The CVT system used by CLAAS is a power split system with limited reverse speed!
However – for reasons of the optimum efficiency without reactive power – off-road machinery requests a fully reversing gearbox without limiting the speed.
Innovation “CVT – reverse gear” from DziubaPartners GmbH
For the first time, the "CVT reverse gearbox" by DziubaPartners eliminates the disadvantages of the two current innovation leading CVT systems of FENDT and CLAAS.
Partial and full reversing are optionally possible without limiting the final speed which means that the vehicle is fully reversible.
Thanks to an interplay of staged planetary drive with secondary coupling and the wide-angle hydrostat, it is possible for the first time ever to achieve a consistently high degree of efficiency at all speed forwards and backwards. From this, further fuel savings can be derived.
Another special feature of this transmission system is the absence of failure-prone hoses respectively pipelines inside the gearbox.
Depending on customer requirements, the gearbox offers both a coupling function with traction adjustment and a turbo coupling function.
This transmission system is controlled by means of a CAN bus signal via control units, which are optimally adapted to the structure of the transmission system.
Concept
The gearbox is designed as a “kit” and allows easy adjustments for the installation in different vehicle configurations with different output options to the axles.
Independent PTO shafts are also available.
Integrated in the system is an emergency mode in the event of a failure of the electrical system or electronics which makes it possible to continue driving or working with limited comfort.
This new generation of transmissions has been patented by DziubaPartners GmbH and will be marketed exclusively.
This concept was developed after an analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of existing hydraulic-mechanical power split transmissions and confirmed as the best possible solution for modern drives.
